  • Jon's the working owner of this incorporated consulting business (a type C corporation, established in 1986, with a co. name change in 1992). His wife, Arlene, is also active in the business (as office manager). We celebrated our 24th business anniversary in February, 2010 !

  • Jon’s primary interest has always been to provide his personal services directly to end-user clients, via contractual agreements. However, he has also worked as a subcontractor to other firms (design firms or agents) serving end-user clients. Plus, his company structure enables experienced associates to work for his company also (as subcontractors), on an as-needed basis -- for end-user clients that prefer a small consulting team led by Jon via his company.

  • If you're looking for "splash and dash" work, please go elsewhere.  For Jon believes that quality work is paramount, not volume business. His company is properly certified (in New Jersey) to offer engineering-related services locally or out of state. The company’s NJ Certificate of Authorization No. is 24GA28010000. The company maintains both general liability and workers compensation insurance coverage. An insurance certificate is available upon request.
  • Since 1986, Jon has demonstrated flexibility in the contractual approach taken, via his company, to provide client services, as described next. All of the below-listed contracts were implemented on a T&M basis (except for the NJ MEP associated work, where a lump sum basis was used):

Number of direct contracts between Jon's co. and end-user clients (for use of Jon's personal services) = eight

Number of subcontracts between Jon's co. and design firms (for use of Jon's personal services, on behalf of design firm, to end-user clients) = three (see "Client List" page for design firm names)

Number of subcontracts between Jon's co. and agents (for use of Jon's personal services, on behalf of agent, to end-user clients) = three (agents were Oxford International, H.L. Yoh, & Synerfac Technical).

Number of direct contracts between Jon's co. and end-user clients (for use of a small consulting team led by Jon, via his company) = four (including work done also via NJ MEP)

As shown above, T&M basis work accounts for ~ 90% of the contracted work done so far. T&M work is the only reasonable way to implement certain projects, although some potential clients are initially wary of this approach. Jon's established a track record of always giving clients more than they pay for, while striving to get work done correctly the first time, to minimize any cost overruns. He has an old fashioned work ethic, and knows his reputation is on the line every day!
  • The majority of Jon's work has been conducted "on the road", away from home base, whether locally, interstate, or out of country. To suit client needs, at their offices or plants. Jon's worked in ~ 40 different plants so far. Jon's home-based office is also used to implement work, to save on T&L costs, as/where appropriate (and with a client's agreement, for T&M basis work).
